Come to Montreat College Cross Country Course on Wednesday, August 3rd for the 2nd race of the 2011 Cross Country Series. Registration will start at 5:30pm by the athletic fields parking area. The course distance is 5k. Cost is $15 for one race or $75 for the remaining 9 races (checks payable to Aaron Saft). More info on series below.

Directions:
From the East:
• On I-40 West, take Exit 64 (Black Mountain/Montreat).
• Turn right onto NC-9/Broadway Street.
• At the first traffic light, turn left onto Vance Avenue.
• At the four-way stop, continue through. The entrance will be on the right at 510 Vance Avenue. Follow the signs to the parking area. To access the soccer and softball fields, continue past the entrance to the next right.
From the West:
• On I-40 East, take Exit 64 (Black Mountain/Montreat).

• Take Assembly Drive toward Black Mountain.
• At the stone Montreat gate, the street changes to Montreat Road (continue through).
• At the traffic light, the street changes to Broadway Street (continue through).
• Turn right at the second traffic light onto Vance Avenue.
• Continue through the four-way stop. The entrance will be on the right at 510 Vance Avenue. To access the soccer and softball fields, continue past the entrance to the next right.

EVERYONE MUST RACE FINALE AT MONTREAT COLLEGE TO COUNT IN GRAND PRIX STANDINGS!

1st-3rd Overall Male & Female
Los Jovenes Male & Female (Under 18 yrs) 1st Place ONLY
Master’s Male & Female (50 yrs & up) 1st Place ONLY
Grand Master’s Male & Female (70 yrs & up) 1st Place ONLY
Team Divisions - Must have 3 runners to score, 5 runner max on team roster. Teams must be submitted before 3rd race of the series. Winning team from each category will win prizes. All teams must have ATLEAST 2 Females on the roster, & at least ONE female must be included in scoring.
Mixed Under 18 yrs
Mixed Under 50 yrs
Mixed Master’s (Over 50 yrs)
Mixed Grand Master’s (Over 70 yrs)
Scoring:
Individuals - Your place against your competitors of your gender will be your points - Low score wins w/ your best finishes from 5 of the 8 races
Teams - Your team score will be tallied based on your individuals finishing place in your division - All team scores will be tallied from 6 of your teams’ best team scores out of the 10 races
Awards will be products from: Ultimate Direction, Drymax Socks, Montrail Shoes, & Mountain Hard Wear Apparel
