Next Club Group Run is
at Warren Wilson this Saturday, Aug 17 at 10 am. Directions are below.
The Trail Running Club is aimed
primarily at beginner trail runners, but is open to runners of all
abilities. Our goal is to introduce runners who are used to pounding the
pavement or treadmill to the wide open world of running the the
wilderness. We have the good fortune of living in one of the most
desirable spots in the world for outdoor sports and this is your chance to
experience our area like never before. You'll go places that are unique
and beautiful, and hone your fitness and skills as a runner while you're at
it. And we'll take advantage of the motivational power of a community as
we chat online, meet up for group runs and go to races together!

What's included:
- A handheld water bottle, a short sleeve
tech shirt (note: yearly members will also receive a long sleeve tech
shirt), and great snacks for during and after training runs
- 1x per month group runs led by our own
Michael Scholtz who is a certified coach and experienced trail runner.
- Weekly workouts posted on the private
Facebook page; updates and pictures from training runs and races on TP
website.
- Free entry into any 2 cross-country
series events.

We'll meet in the gravel parking area on the
left just past the bridge over the Swannanoa River on Warren Wilson Rd.
Directions from Asheville: Take I-240 E to I-40 E
to Exit 55. Turn left off exit to Tunnel Rd./US 70. Turn right for 2 miles on
US 70 E to the first stop light. Turn left at light onto Warren Wilson Rd. Go
about 1.5 miles to parking on left at the river (gravel area I mentioned above).
