Dawson Hunter (far right), 83, of Black Mountain, NC competed in the
National Sr. Games this week, held in Cleveland, Ohio.
Hunter finished in 8th place, age group, with a time of
39:35 in the 5K Run held entirely within the confines of the Cleveland Zoo.
Overall he placed 209th out of 250 runners, who were also
representing their various home states as local champions.
The overall winner was 58 year old Mark Furkis from
Ligonier, Indiana, who clocked a quick 18:11
