Race Report from Nov. 5-6

Foot Rx's own Justin Tebockhorst (pictured above) successfully defended his Shut-In title this past weekend running 2:23. Scott Williams took a close 2nd place finishing just 3 minutes behind Justin. David Workman ran a stellar race finishing in a PR 2:32 in 3rd place! Brian Simpson finished in 3:05. Karen Ostergaard finished in 3:13.

Shawn Bagley sent in the following race report from Shut-In:
"I finished to the Shut In again this year. I thought it was going to be easier this year, but it was still pretty grueling. It was just an amazing day to be running up there though. The views were just phenomenal from along the ridge. Anyways, I finished just a couple minutes slower than last year, in 3:41.41. I crossed the hwy 151 aid station at exactly 3 hours, so that tells you how much walking I was doing for that last daunting section."

Dennis Duffy sent in the following report from the Mountain Splendor 5k in Black Mountain:
"I ran the Mountain Splendor 5k in Black Mountain this morning and it was a beautiful race with a scenic and rolling course. I loved this race and encourage runners to participate next year. I finished 7th out of 49 with a time of 24:13. 1st in my age group. By the way, Joe Watson was first and Kelly Allen was first female."

Raylene Morrow took her first Master's title in TN at the Race for Ian. Congrats!

Lance Martin ran the Savannah Rock 'n Roll 1/2 Marathon in 1:39. Scot Worley sent in the following race report from he & his wife:
"Jennifer and I ran in Savannah. She and her friend Deidre McMahon did Rock n Roll Savannah Marathon. Jennifer completed it (her 5th marathon) in 5:00:59. Deidre in 5:31. I ran the Half Marathon in 1:36."

Duncan Sharrits sent in the following report (Ann-Marie is his wife):
"Ann-Marie and I ran the Daytona Beach 1/2Marathon on 10/30. I ran 1:45 and Ann-Marie ran 2:10. Next up the Baton Rouge Marathon December 3rd." They are doing the 50 State Marathon Challenge, & are well on their way to completion!

Todd Gothberg ran 3:19:56 & Bill Sauber 4:43:45 at the New York City Marathon. Congrats to both!
