We had lots of people in action this past weekend. Good Stuff!
Below is a crew that went down to Jacksonville for the National 1/2 & Full Marathon to Cure Breast Cancer. From left Liz Cyriac, Rebecca Mayernick, Kimberly Sweetland, & Andy Brouwer.
Liz 2:06:31(1/2 marathon) - Personal Best!
Rebecca 1:31:29 (1/2 Marathon) - 10th Overall 2nd in Age Group
Kim 1:29:35 (1/2 Marathon) - 6th Overall 3rd in Age Group
Andy 3:08:48 (Marathon - Boston Qualifier!) - 1st Marathon! 35th Overall 5th Age Group
Bill Sauber did the Red Dress Run. Sparing every one the details of the Hash Run, they raised over $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen foundation.
The Valentines 5k in Black Mountain drew a huge crowd of Ambassadors.
Congrats to Mark Driscoll who won the race in a stellar 15:17. 2nd was Aaron Saft 15:53. 7th was Jerad Crave in 17:26 (to be fair, he had a calf injury). Bart Smith won the 65-69 Age Group in 19:59. Lance Martin took 2nd in his age group running 20:40. Dennis Duffy was 5th in his age group & ran 23:47. Jason Lutttrull had a personal best of 32:45.
Congrats to Whitney Thornburg & her new personal best as she won the race & ran a smokin' 18:32! Whitney was 11th overall followed closely by 2nd overall female Amanda Chase who ran 18:41. In 3rd was Keelin Schneider in 18:55. Eve Smith was 2nd in her age group 45-49 in 24:34. Lynn Ray ran a personal best of 27:53. And the Queen of Hearts, our spirit award winner, who had the best time (as always), ran 33:23.
