Jackson Park Race Series
Race fans, Jackson Park will play host to 3 new exciting events this summer. Races will take place on Mon. June 14th, July 12, & Aug. 9. Cost will be $15 and include a tech tee to the first 20 registrants in each race.
June 14th will be a Flag Day 5k
July 12th will be a Sunset Run
Aug. 9th will be a 5 miler from Jackson Park to Patton Park & Back
Awards are gift certificates from Foot Rx and break down as follows:
Top 3 Male & Female Overall
Top 2 males & females in the following Age Groups:
15 & Under
16-29
30-45
46-55
56+

Asheville Track Club Beginners Running Program
Starting May 4th and continuing every Tues. (6pm), Thurs. (6pm), & Sat. (8am), the Asheville Track Club will host a Beginners Running Program to train for the Bele Cher 5k in July. Cost is $20. This is a very good program for those interested in starting running, or getting back into shape. The program is a success every year. This is a run/walk program, and done at your own ability level by certified coaches. Questions, contact Tom burytom@charter.net
Date Change for Four Seasons Running Club Greenway 5k
The Four Seasons Running Club Greenway 5k has been rescheduled from Friday, June 4th to Friday, June 18th so as not to conflict with the Chamber Challenge 5k. The race will take place in Fletcher Park at 6:30pm. Cost is $5 (no t-shirts). Entries will be available soon at Foot Rx. The field will be limited to the first 200 people to register.
