"Anchor Splash TRI retro Run, Bike, Swim everything reversed  took off 11:36 minutes from last year
Sept. 22nd Knoxville, TN
1st place age group
Run 3 miles 25:13 T1  :58, Bike 6.5 miles 22:20, T2 1:32, Swim 300 yards 9:42  total  59:42 so happy to be under 1 hour"

Mon. 9/23 Group Run at Dupont Forest - 6:15pm

Running from Guion Farm Parking (Approximately 6.5 miles)
  • Starting down Buck Forest Service Rd.
  • Right on White Pine Rd.
  • Left on Hickory Mtn Rd
  • Right on Hickory Mtn Loop
  • Right on Ridgeline Trl
  • Left on Lake Imaging Rd
  • Left on Buck Forest Service Rd. - Return to Parking

Directions:
From Asheville, NC and other cities via I 40
Take I 40 to exit 46A for I 26 East towards Hendersonville. Take I 26 east to Exit 40. Turn right off Exit 40 onto NC 280. Take NC 280 south 16 miles to US 64. Turn left onto US 64 and go 3.7 miles to the stop light. Turn right onto Crab Creek Rd and go 4.3 miles to DuPont Road. Turn right onto DuPont Rd. 0.7 miles on DuPont Road to a left on Sky Valley Road. Follow Sky Valley Road past the junction of Old CCC Road to the Guion Farm Access Area 1.6 miles on the right.

From Hendersonville, NC and other cities via I 26 
Take I 26 to exit 49B for US 64 west towards Hendersonville. Go 2.4 miles on US 64 to North Church Street/Business US 25 south. Turn left onto Church Street and go 0.6 south miles. Turn right onto Kanuga Road and go 11 miles (note that Kanuga Rd becomes Crab Creek Rd). Turn left onto DuPont Road. 0.7 miles on DuPont Road to a left on Sky Valley Road. Follow Sky Valley Road past the junction of Old CCC Road to the Guion Farm Access Area 1.6 miles on the right.

Directions:
 

  • Take I-40 (East from Asheville, West from Black Mountain).
  • Take the Swannanoa Exit (# 59).
  • Follow signs to US Highway 70.
  • At the traffic light, turn left onto US Highway 70.
  • Pass the Ingles shopping complex on your left.
  • At the first traffic light, turn right onto Riverwood Road.
  • Entrance to the ACA campus is on the left.

Oct. 4th Event #5 – 5k @ Warren Wilson College
Oct. 24th Event #6 – 5k @ Richmond Hills
Nov. 8th Event #7 – 6k @ Brevard College

Races will start at 6:30pm
Cost will be $15 per race $10 per race for Middle or High School Students 
EVERYONE must complete 4 of 7 races to receive long sleeve technical shirt.
EVERYONE MUST RACE FINALE AT BREVARD COLLEGE TO COUNT IN GRAND PRIX STANDINGS!

Master’s Male & Female (40-49) 1st Place ONLY
Grand Master’s Male & Female (50-59) 1st Place ONLY   
Senior Grand Master’s Male & Female (60+) 1st Place ONLY
Super Senior Grand Master’s Male & Female (70+) 1st Place Only

Scoring:
Individuals – Your place against your competitors of your gender will be your points - Low score wins w/ your best finishes from 4 of the 7 races (Finale is a must in the scoring!)

  • This is not a formal talk, but rather a "gathering" with horderves & beverages in which any one can talk with Thomas at any point in the evening.

Here's a bit more about Thomas...
  • Thomas Minton has been a physical therapist focusing on thetreatment of running-related and sports injuries for over 15 years. Hismain focus of treatment has been treating sports injuries with a focus onendurance and adventure athletes. He is a Pose Method Certified Running Technique Specialist, a USA Track and Field Coach, and a Red Level Bike Fit Professional. In addition, Thomas is Certifiedin Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment through the McKenzie Institute.

RUNNING CYCLOCROSS STYLE RACE #2


Sat., Sept. 21 - 6pm - Carrier Park

Come run & have a great time with some awesome people! Cyclocross people are FUN!

We're running on the Cyclocross Course for 20 minutes to complete as many (approximately) 1 mile loops as possible.

You can register on www.wncracing.com w/ a PayPal account, at the shop, or on race day for $15. All money goes to Trips for Kids (www.tripsforkids.org)

There will be a FREE kids Race as well!
