Saturday Trail Run 1/23/10

The Saturday trail run will be on the Mountains to Sea trail at 8:00 A.M. Meet at the intersection of 25 and the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Robert is taking the day off so look for Brian!

Blackjack 5k Jan. 16th Results

My apologies to all for two things. One in taking so much time to post results for the race, & secondly to say that I only have the overall winners as the tags were dropped as they were handed off to be put away.
Gary Ball was our male overall winner in a time of 19:19.
Jackie Witherspoon was our female overall winner in a time of 20:03.
We had SIX Blackjack Winners! There were 35 runners, & I added money to the pot, so each runner took home a $40 Gift Certificate to Foot Rx Asheville. In addition, any one who drew a joker during the race received an additional $10 gift certificate.
We had a lot of fun, & I hope every one will come back for our next race (5k) in Jackson Park on Jan. 30th at 8am. Registration opens at 7:30am. The cost is $5.

Spirit of the Marathon

Volvo Construction Equipment will be holding a free movie night this Thursday January the 14th at 5:30 PM. The Film Spirit of the Marathon is a documentary film that follows 6 individuals as they prepare to run the Chicago Marathon.
Pizza and soft drinks available for a small free will donation. Free popcorn!!

Black Jack Race

Come Join us for the first race of our Black Jack Series this Saturday January 16th at Fletcher Park. Registration will begin at 7:30 AM. The entry fee is only $5.00!!! With a total payout in Foot Rx gift certificates. Each runner will be given a card at the start and pick up one at the aid station. There will be an option to take a hit at the finish if you so choose.

Race time is 8 AM. The location at Fletcher Park is a flat and friendly and will feature a simple two lap course.
